A safe, confidential and supportive space to talk, reflect and find your way forward.
Welcome
Welcome to Rose Counselling. You may be facing a particular difficulty, experiencing a loss or simply finding life overwhelming. Whatever brings you here, counselling offers time and space to explore what matters to you, at your own pace. You do not need to have everything worked out before reaching out.
About Me
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I hold a degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I am fully insured to practise and work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework, offering a professional, confidential and respectful counselling service.
I am also a qualified community development worker and coach. By bringing together my counselling and coaching skills, knowledge and experience, I can help you develop a greater understanding of the challenges you are facing. Working at a pace that feels comfortable for you, we can explore possibilities for meaningful change and personal growth.
I have supported clients through a wide range of life experiences, including issues relating to faith and spirituality. I have a particular interest in working with people who are experiencing loss. Loss can take many forms: the death of someone close to you, the end of a relationship, redundancy or the loss of freedom and independence that can accompany caring responsibilities.
These experiences may leave you feeling low, anxious, lonely or uncertain about the future. Counselling offers a confidential space where you can begin to make sense of what you are going through and work through your challenges without judgement.

My Approach
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches according to your individual needs. These may include person-centred therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, Gestalt therapy and humanistic therapy.
Taking the first step towards seeking support outside your usual network can feel daunting. You may experience embarrassment, fear or uncertainty about trusting someone you have not met before. These feelings are understandable.
My first priority is to build a relationship with you that is based on trust, empathy and honesty. This may take time, and I will work at your pace so that you feel heard and supported. Together, we can explore the issues that matter to you in a safe and respectful space, where you will not be judged or ridiculed for anything you choose to share.
Your First Step
I offer a free, 20-minute introductory call, giving you an opportunity to ask questions about my counselling practice and decide whether I may be the right counsellor for you. There is no pressure or obligation to book counselling after this call.
If you decide that you would like to work with me, we will arrange an initial assessment to explore your counselling needs and what you hope to gain from therapy. If you then choose to begin counselling, we will agree on a counselling contract that sets out how we will work together.
